My Work on Display @ Maya Indian Restaurant & Rush Me Clothing Store
I’ve had my work on display at the award winning Maya Indian Restaurant & Rush Me clothing store in Fremantle for the last 3 weeks. They just look awesome on the big red walls at Maya and perfectly place for street viewing at Rushme. It’s great for having new people see your work
Exhibition Opening & Sales
After a 34hr flight complimented with a 10hr delay. I made it home in time to set up my exhibition (with the help of my fantastic parents) and attended the launch feeling excited and dazed with jet lag (Can’t believe I lasted til 2pm).
Thanks to everyone that attended and all the lovely comments.
'Shop Boxes' is my favourite image :)
A good friend Shona Henderson ask me which piece in the ‘Art of Travel, India’ I liked the best. Which I answered ‘Shop Boxes.’ Unfortunately I couldn’t entirely share with her why I thought it was the best, as the images in this Blog don’t give you the opportunity to look up close to the images and explore the deep individualism of each image. So I though, as I explain to her, I would write some notes on my favourite piece and why.
Introduction to Me, that is Bec Lee.
Hi, Wow, always great to come to an absolute blank on your first ever Blog. Especially when it’s on yourself. ummmm Well I intend to use this blog for discussing thoughts on books, artworks and general jibber jabber on whats it all about. Then I’ll do the hokey pokey and I’ll turn around cosss That’s what its all about. According to Jimoen anyway. My main passions in life is Art and Photography. I am an emerging artist with my first Solo Exhibition coming up on 22nd June 2009 (How Fecken Exciting). The work I’ll be displaying is a visual photographic study on the Travellers Gaze.
