Summer Exhibition On Now!
The Summer Exhibition is now on display at Little Creatures Gallery.
I hadn’t met most of the Artists before the open night or seen their work but I was absolutely amazed by the variety of the work but still a strong singularity in their meaning. I don’t think it could of looked better if we planned it that way, well we kinda did but didn’t.
My Work on Display @ Maya Indian Restaurant & Rush Me Clothing Store
I’ve had my work on display at the award winning Maya Indian Restaurant & Rush Me clothing store in Fremantle for the last 3 weeks. They just look awesome on the big red walls at Maya and perfectly place for street viewing at Rushme. It’s great for having new people see your work
Something About Nothing
What am I up too.
I’m scouting for financial help. Applied for a grant last friday but don’t think I was prepared enough to get it (my dreams are way too high sometimes). Its the most nerve wrecking thing for me writing a grant cos I sit down, dream about all the possibilities I’ll have if I receive it and then I hand it in and chew my nails off for 2 months. (I’ve only attacked one finger so far.)
August to Dec Photo Awards List
Hey There,
Just updating some more Photo Awards & Competitions I’m running into.
I’ve also found the following two sites helpful for writing Artist Bios and Statements. I’m just so awkward when it comes to writing about myself and this information really helped to work through it.
Exhibition Opening & Sales
After a 34hr flight complimented with a 10hr delay. I made it home in time to set up my exhibition (with the help of my fantastic parents) and attended the launch feeling excited and dazed with jet lag (Can’t believe I lasted til 2pm).
Thanks to everyone that attended and all the lovely comments.
Upcoming Photography Competition List for June & July 2009.
For all my Photo Frenzy friends below is a collection of photography competitions I’ve been collecting recently. If you’ve go some fantastic work stashed away somewhere, as I know most of you do, I thought this list would come in handy to win some extra cash and opportunities x
Why 'The Art of Travel'
The name of this exhibition isn’t my cocky intention to state I am representing the ‘all in all’ of the art in travel. I actually have no idea how to name this series but I wasn’t quiet into the ‘Untitled series’ form of titling yet. ‘The Art of Travel’ is actually a very inspiring and influential book and dvd by Alain De Botton, that I read while studying last year. It’s a must read/watch/laugh if you’re ever confused about traveling and/or why to do it.
